Vase 6 by John Beall

Description

Wood used is maple. One hundred ninety three (193) pieces of wood were cut, glued into eight rings, glued to a base and turned on a lathe to shape. Seventy one (71) horizontal beads were turned in vase and 48 vertical lines were wood burned on the beads making 3,408 individual cells. These cells were painted with black, deep scarlet red, and phthalo blue Indian ink.
