Vase 15 by John Beall

Description

Wood used is maple. One hundred sixty-eight (168) pieces of wood were cut, glued into ten (10) rings, glued to a base and turned on a lathe to shape. Fifty-three (53) horizontal beads were turned in vase and 120 vetical lines were wood burned on the beads making 6,360 individual cells. These cells were painted with black and deep scarlet red Indian ink.
