Vase 10 by John Beall

Description

Wood used is maple and walnut. One hundred thirty-one (131) pieces of wood were cut, glued into eight rings, glued to a base and top, then turned on a lathe to shape. Fourty-three (43) horizontal beads were turned in vase and 120 vetical lines were wood burned on the beads making 5,160 individual cells. These cells were painted with black and deep scarlet red Indian ink.
