“Cohesion” by Sue Housler

Small ceramic tiles, 4″ x 4”.  Frames are black, with a glossy finish, wired and ready to hang.

This work represents the beauty of the intricacies of the Gulf of Mexico.  Fish, Sea Horses, and Sea Urchins.  These tiles were in my island home, a snd thankfully survived Hurricane Ian. My tile creations are unique, one of a kind.  They are all hand-cut with clays from various areas.  Each tile reflects the fact that it is cut individually, therefore some have slight variations.  Each tile is painted with three over-layered coats, to give colors depth.  After the final firing, I choose a color for a frame, and finish the creation.  Frames are custom made.
