Description

The American bald eagle is a bird of prey found in North America. It is the national bird and symbol of the United States of America. The bald eagle has a white head, neck, and tail, and a dark brown body. It has a wingspan of 6 to 7 feet  and weighs between 8 and 14 pounds. Bald eagles are known for their powerful talons, which they use to catch fish, their primary food source. They also eat small mammals and birds. Bald eagles are found near bodies of water, such as lakes, rivers, and coastal areas, where they can find fish.
