Martha J Dodd is a fine artist living in the Southwest Florida area. Her work can be found in homes and businesses all over South Florida. Her work has been published many times in various magazines such as Florida Design, Naples Illustrated, Gulf Shore Magazine, the N Magazine, and more recently in the Gulf and Main Magazine. Martha spends her summers traveling abroad in places such as Europe, Australia, South America and takes the opportunity to study art in museums and points of interest while there. Her favorite subjects include people, seascapes and animals. Most predominant among Martha’s animals are horses, dogs, cats, and birds.

Martha paints with oils as well as acrylics, and paints on either canvas or artist panels. Her studio is located in her home on the ground floor. She and her husband Marc live in a stilt home in North Fort Myers Florida. In the summer they escape the heat for a few months, and travel abroad to Europe and other places. Martha brings along her paints, and takes advantage of the inspiration provided by the many museums and incredible experiences she has.
