Renee’s obsession with glass began in the early 90’s when she settled in Southwest Florida. At the time she was designing jewelry and wanted to add handcrafted glass components to her jewelry so she took a few fused glass classes at a local studio. During that first class session she created a bowl which she entered into a local exhibition. She quickly realized that her calling was to fully explore the medium and has traveled the country taking enrichment classes from glass masters, perfecting her craft. Over the last several years Renee has received numerous awards from exhibitions held in Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, Bonita Springs, and most recently received a first place award at Florida Craft Art’s exhibit, Beautiful Bountiful Bowls.

Renee is a member of several local non-profit groups and guilds that help promote the arts through scholarships, workshops and events and teaches beginners to advanced students for the city of Cape Coral at the Cape Coral Art Studio.
