Guest Artist November, 2021,  Artist Nikki Taylor @ Hirdie Girdie Gallery | Sanibel | Florida | United States

Hirdie Girdie Gallery is pleased to announce as the November Guest Artist  – Nikki Taylor. Nikki’s beautiful Pen and Ink drawings will be displayed the entire month of November.

About Nikki Taylor:

Nikki Taylor’s fascination with the simplicity of a pen started only a year ago. Seen as a basic tool she is able to create images of great complexity and depth. Nikki Taylor has taken that which is simple and basic to create moving images that makes the viewer look twice at the detail and story behind each original fine art piece. Nikki Taylor draws her inspiration from living on various islands across the Caribbean.  Born and raised in Florida, she was constantly inspired by her surrounding natural environment, the ocean. At the young age of 10 she took her first breath underwater and her life hasn’t been the same since – just think of watching Blue Planet in high-definition 3D, only a million times better, that’s diving. As a divemaster Nikki Taylor has logged over 600 dives around the world from the breathtaking crystal clear waters of the Bahamas to remote islands above South America. The desire to create underwater photography and fine pen art quickly followed and replaced a bachelors degree in Neuroscience and medical school plans (sorry family) but to Nikki, there is nothing more rewarding than the unique experiences beneath the surface and the opportunity to meet & befriend like-minded people. She credits her free spirit and life experiences to visualize the lifestyle brand, Island Inspired Co.

Hirdie Girdie Gallery is pleased to announce as the December Guest Artist  – Rachel Pierce.

Plan on meeting Rachel at our art reception on December 9th, 2021 from 5 – 8pm.

About Rachel Pierce:

Rachel Pierce is a lifelong artist and long-time TV journalist who recently left the anchor desk to focus full-time on her artwork.

Based in Fort Myers, Florida, Rachel paints bright, modern original art in oil and acrylic reflecting the natural beauty and abundant wildlife found only in tropical Southwest Florida.

From her abstract beachscapes to her joyful underwater tableaus, Rachel’s colorful coastal creations feature swimming sea creatures – like loggerhead turtles, manatee, jellyfish, sharks, seahorses and octopi; soaring shorebirds and wading flamingos; technicolor palm trees and florals; gators, mollusks, mermaids, and more.

“I’m a happy, positive person and I think it comes through in my artwork. When you see one of my pieces, I hope it makes you smile!”

Rachel sells and exhibits her fine art originals in shops and galleries throughout Southwest Florida, as  well as  on her website,, along with a variety of collectible prints and notecards.

Her fantastical Florida-inspired artwork also features on chic handmade jewelry, and is currently available for purchase on her website and in several SWFL locations. A new collaborative jewelry collection with EVOCATEUR will launch on and in more than 100 boutiques nationwide in Spring 2021.

During her time as a trusted TV news anchor, Rachel gathered a large and supportive fanbase, and her social media following across Facebook, lnstagram and YouTube continues growing day by day, piece by piece.

She is a prolific painter, and at least once a week, she livestreams her painting sessions to enthusiastic online audiences, combining her artistic talents with her extensive on-camera experience.

While Rachel plans to continue painting every single day – living a dream she set aside many moons ago – she envisions continued creative collaboration with other innovative artisans and investors on everything from limited edition collections in high-end boutiques and galleries to wearable art, homewares, and accessories available in select department stores.
