David King is a 1966 graduate from the University of Michigan Dental School. After graduating, he spent two years in the Air Force stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming.   He then returned to his home town of Saginaw, Michigan where he practiced dentistry for 31 years, retiring in 1997. David has been drawing and painting since 1967, is self taught, and works in transparent watercolors. His inspiration is nature, both wildlife and landscape, and he captures the majestic quality of his subjects and the beauty of natural light. He has won numerous awards for his work and together with his wife Sheila, has served as an Artist-in-Residence at Denali National Park, Sanibel Island. Also, for 2012, David has been selected to be the Poster and T-Shirt artist for the Cape Coral Art Show.
