Stan Timson
Stan Timson began painting full time after a 35 year career in corporate advertising, graphic design and art direction.Using the disciplines that were instrumental in his success as a graphic designer, he employs bold images and color to draw viewers into his acrylic and oil paintings. Recognized for his "Greetings From" works that recreate and update the colorful, graphic large-letter postcards of the 1940's and '50's, Stan has painted exuberant greetings from Florida, Sanibel/Captiva and numerous other destinations and events. Though he paints in Pennsylvania's Brandywine Valley and up and down the East Coast, Stan says "Painting in Southwest Florida is one of the great joys of my life. The light, color, flora and fauna are perfect invitations to be creative."
